La Machine!

Last night McCabe and I were whirlwinds in the kitchen. We made a rice salad and the shrimp basil pasta salad in just under two hours. The rice salad involves LOTS of chopping and the second one starts with "a basket full of fresh basil leaves." Also lots of chopping and prep. Book club is tonight at my house and I am READY. Except of course I haven't read the book.

Well you can't do everything.

Recipes please for the
salads. They sound FABULOUS!!!!!

Jo made your guacomole last
week and it was VERY GOOD!!!!!

Also - what wine would you
suggest to complement the
salads?

Did you find any special wines
on your winery tour in southern
Illinois?

Hi Pat!

Maybe this will work this time. We are still waiting for your talents to set up the pics of your vacation. Did you do the winery tour?

Be happy that you are not in Minnesota now. It is truly hot and miserable.

Keep recipes coming...it's like There's a Wolf at my Table all over again.

I served several wines and the ones people liked best were the cabernet/tempranillo rose! and of course the chardonnay.

I will send the recipes to you; send your e-mail address to me at pat.wente@gmail.com

I'll call you later today.
